COMPLETE – Garden Plan 2024 Orientation – We will be holding a review for our volunteers of this year’s planting plan on Saturday April 20th. We will meet at 9:30 AM on the driveway at 34 Parkview Ave, John McKenzie House. We will walk through the garden and discuss what is being planned, including plans for the expansion to 37 Norton Avenue. This meeting is not eligible for community service hours.
COMPLETE – Earth Day Garden Clean up – Why not spend time on Earth Day, Saturday April 20th, and help us clean up the winter debris from the garden and nearby John McKenzie parkette? We will meet at 10 AM on the driveway at 34 Parkview Ave, John McKenzie House. We should be finished by 11:30 AM. Volunteers, neighbours and families with children are welcome. Gloves are recommended 🙂 Eligible for community service hours for high school students.
First Planting – Saturday April 27th 2-4 PM. Help us with our first planting. What we plant will be highly dependent on weather but we will be planting potatoes or flowers or cold season vegetables. Please bring your own gardening gloves if you want to wear gloves. All other tools are supplied. Eligible for community service hours for high school students. Under age 14 requires adult supervision.
Update on April 24: We are adding Sunday April 28th 10 AM – 12 noon for planting as well.
