Want to Volunteer?

Interested in volunteering at our garden? If you are new to the garden and want to receive emails about volunteer workshifts, please send an email to [email protected].

We work in teams in order to coordinate our work. No experience is necessary! Tools are supplied.

These are our weekly shifts for 2025:

  • Sundays 10 AM – 12 Noon
  • Thursdays 6:30-8:00 PM
  • TBD – We will add harvesting shifts by July

No sign up is required; simply drop in at the start of a volunteer workshift.

During the gardening season, check our Events page to find out when shifts are scheduled. For example, in May we often have additional Saturday or holiday shifts. The calendar will note which days we are working. Shifts noted as “closed” on the calendar are reserved for corporate volunteers and are not open to individual volunteers.

Rain

We work rain or shine but not during thunderstorms or heavy downpours.

What to Bring

  • Please wear closed toe shoes – running shoes, crocs, boots etc. No sandals.
  • Please bring water to drink.
  • Garden gloves or work gloves are recommended.
  • Please consider sunscreen and a hat.

Information for High School Students

We will track community service hours for students 14-18 years old. We will maintain a log sheet of your hours and transfer them to your school’s official form once per season. If you are not starting grade 9 until September, please check with your school to confirm what date you can begin to earn hours. (For some school boards, it is July 1st.)

Information for Families

Volunteers under the age of 14 must be supervised by a parent/guardian.
