Please drop in during any of the following times in May to help us prepare and plant out the garden. No experience is necessary. We provide tools but we suggest you bring your own gloves.
- Saturday May 11th from 9 AM-12 Noon (harvesting starts at 9 AM, weeding starts at 10 AM)
- Saturday May 18th from 10 AM – 12 Noon (weeding and planting)
- Monday May 20th from 10 AM – 12 Noon (weeding and planting)
- Saturday May 25th from 10 AM – 2 PM (weeding and lots of planting); Come at any time during this period, leave when you want.
COMPLETE – Flower Planting – Sunday May 5th 10 AM – 12 Noon. We will continue preparing beds and planting seeds.
COMPLETE – First Planting – Saturday April 27th 2-4 PM and Sunday April 28th 10 AM – 12 noon . Help us with our first planting. What we plant will be highly dependent on weather but we will be planting potatoes and cold season vegetables.
COMPLETE – Earth Day Garden Clean up – Why not spend time on Earth Day, Saturday April 20th, and help us clean up the winter debris from the garden and nearby John McKenzie parkette? We will meet at 10 AM on the driveway at 34 Parkview Ave, John McKenzie House. We should be finished by 11:30 AM
COMPLETE – Garden Plan 2024 Orientation – We will be holding a review for our volunteers of this year’s planting plan on Saturday April 20th. We will meet at 9:30 AM on the driveway at 34 Parkview Ave, John McKenzie House. We will walk through the garden and discuss what is being planned, including plans for the expansion to 37 Norton Avenue.
