Planting for the 2026 season is nearing completion! After a cold and rainy start, we got a stretch of really great weather, and with the help of our fabulous volunteers, finished most of the soil prep and planting by the end of May. Here’s a recap of the 2026 season, past and planned.
- Feb 2026 – Winter sow flowers, kale, collard greens and leeks in plastic jugs to sit in the snow and wait for warmer weather to grow
- Feb 2026 – Start hot peppers indoors
- March 2026 – Start sweet peppers indoors
- April 2026 – Start tomatoes indoors; Start squash and flowers indoors; Prune raspberries; Plant peas, spinach and radishes; Plant potatoes and alliums
- May 2026 – Plant kale and chard, flowers, squash and beans
- June 2026 – Re-sow where required, plant more flowers
- July 2026 – Expected first harvest
- August through October 2026 – Maintenance, re-sowing, harvesting
