Planting Days

Planting snow peas

Planting for the 2026 season has begun, but very slowly. We have winter sowed flowers, kale, collard greens and leeks but are still waiting for those seeds to germinate. In our raised beds, we have planted snow peas, spinach and radishes.

Plans for the remainder of April include reorganizing the stable, cleaning up the garden, pruning bushes and preparing beds for potatoes and shallots. April is mainly about cold weather crops, clean up, and taking care of perennials.  Stay tuned and check our Events calendar as we begin to schedule weekend dates for volunteer work.

The bulk of our planting takes place in May, mainly on weekends. These dates will be scheduled at the beginning of May and will also be shown on our Events calendar.

Fingers crossed for a great growing season and lots of happy pollinators. We invite you to walk through the garden anytime and if you are interested in volunteering, we would be thrilled to have you join us. Please review the Volunteer page for more details.
